Overview
- In February on Route 138 in Easton, Francis Leverone, 78, crashed his 2013 Ford F-350 into a parked dump truck filled with snow.
- A 2024 Toyota Camry then struck the rear of his truck, igniting both vehicles.
- With his leg dislocated, he became trapped until two passing brothers and a responding Easton police officer broke a window, freed him and carried him away from the fire.
- He is now in inpatient rehabilitation at Encompass Health in Braintree with a dislocated right hip, a broken wrist, and a stitched cut under his chin.
- Leverone has publicly thanked the men who saved him and said the crash followed a sudden sneeze that likely pulled his hand on the wheel.
