Maruti Suzuki Sets Export Record in FY26 as Sales Reach 2.42 Million

EV shipments to 44 countries signal India’s rising clout in car manufacturing.

Overview

  • Maruti Suzuki posted its highest-ever exports at about 447,774 units in FY26, retaining India’s top passenger-vehicle exporter spot for a fifth year with roughly 49% share.
  • Company sales totaled about 2.42 million vehicles for the year after a record January–March quarter of 676,000 units.
  • The e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki’s first battery-electric model, expanded fast and is now shipped from India to 44 countries after its domestic launch earlier in the year.
  • Full-year financials were strong, with net sales at Rs 1,743,695 million and net profit at Rs 144,454 million.
  • Rising demand, helped by GST rate cuts, met production limits that left about 190,000 customer orders pending at year-end.
