  • Kettle Cuisine announced a recall of 3,240 Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kits after routine testing produced a presumptive positive for Listeria monocytogenes on Aug. 12.
  • The recalled item is a 14-ounce tray with UPC 194346474004 and a best-by date of Aug. 22, 2026, sold under Walmart’s Marketside brand.
  • The kits were manufactured and distributed to select Walmart stores in 29 states between June 30 and July 7, giving the recall a multi-state footprint despite the modest unit count.
  • The FDA and Kettle Cuisine are investigating the presumptive positive while the company and federal officials say no illnesses have been confirmed so far.
  • Consumers who bought the product should not eat it and should discard or return it for a refund, wash hands after handling, clean and sanitize any surfaces that contacted the kit, and seek medical advice if they develop listeria symptoms.
