- Per the official synopsis, younger Gibbs and his team probe a small-town death of a naval officer in the 1990s, and that investigation is unexpectedly reopened in the present day.
- Mark Harmon will appear on screen in the Origins hour, marking his first on-camera turn since a brief cameo in the 2024 pilot and his exit from NCIS in 2021.
