Overview
- The NHL announced Thursday that Marcus Foligno of the Minnesota Wild won the 2025–26 King Clancy Memorial Trophy for leadership on and off the ice.
- Foligno was surprised with the trophy during a visit to the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center when his brother and teammate Nick Foligno presented the award.
- The brothers’ season-long Foligno Face-Off campaign and the Janis Foligno Foundation raised more than $200,000 for breast cancer research this season.
- As part of the award, the NHL will donate $25,000 to Foligno’s chosen charity and the Wild are eligible for a league grant of up to $20,000 to fund a related community activation.
- Foligno is a long-tenured alternate captain for the Wild with a 15-season NHL career, and the win extends a family legacy of cancer fundraising that began after their mother’s death in 2009.
