Overview
- An official primary report counts 27,096 affected farmers and crop losses on about 18,993 hectares, with Latur bearing the largest hit at more than 15,516 hectares.
- Latur, Beed and Nanded districts reported impacts across 136, 53 and 41 villages respectively as unseasonal rain, hail and high winds swept the region.
- Two people died in lightning strikes: Digamber Belkunde in Udgir, Latur, and Vishakha Yelkewad in Himayatnagar, Nanded, while four animals also perished.
