Overview
- Police found a 37-year-old man with significant injuries lying in the roadway at Rice Street and McCarrons Boulevard after a crash that occurred late on Saturday, May 30.
- Witnesses told officers they saw a dark-colored pickup strike the pedestrian and then flee northbound on Rice Street.
- Investigators reviewed surveillance video that shows a pickup arriving at the Cub Foods at 100 County Road B West shortly after the collision and the driver briefly entering the store before leaving eastbound on County Road B at about 9:28 p.m.
- The victim was taken to Regions Hospital and remains in critical condition as the Maplewood Police Department continues its active investigation.
