- Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann presented a report on his Netherlands–Finland visit that he said charts a diversification plan backed by a reported Rs 1,300 crore Japan International Cooperation Agency push, with most items still at the interest or planning stage.
- In the Netherlands, the team explored horticulture tie-ups from Keukenhof to Aalsmeer and discussed rose exports and vertical or indoor farming, including greenhouse methods that can yield about 100 kg of tomatoes per square metre versus roughly 6 kg outdoors.
- The delegation met industry groups and ran an investment roadshow focused on semiconductors and start-ups, and Mann said NXP Semiconductors showed interest in setting up research and development in Punjab.
- The Finland leg centered on teacher training and early childhood education at the University of Turku, and Mann said Punjab has already sent several teacher batches abroad with another due in May.
- The tour also featured a sports track, with former Dutch hockey star Floris Jan Bovelander expected to visit Punjab to support hockey development as the state prepares to host the Asian Champions Trophy.
