  • Intelligence-led operations on January 24–25 across Churachandpur, Kakching, Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Jiribam recovered RPG rounds, grenades, IEDs, detonators, magazines and communication equipment.
  • In Churachandpur, police seized three RPG ammunition, five 30mm grenades, two country-made cannons and three shells; in Imphal West they found three high-explosive grenades, four mortar shells, an IED and about one kilogram of explosives; in Imphal East they recovered a DBBL gun, a 9 mm pistol, grenades, INSAS magazines, live rounds and bulletproof gear.
  • Security forces detected and neutralised three IEDs near the Indo‑Myanmar border under Moreh Police Station in Tengnoupal district.
  • Police reported multiple arrests tied to banned outfits and extortion, including an active RPF/PLA cadre, his brother for alleged evidence destruction and a suspect accused of issuing threat calls, alongside earlier detentions of five militants from PREPAK (Pro) and the KCP (Taibangnganba) faction.
  • Seven underground groups called an 18‑hour shutdown from midnight January 25 to boycott Republic Day, with SOREPA announcing a 5 am–5 pm bandh, as authorities expanded checkpoints, frisking and public advisories.
