Manhunt Underway After Shepherd's Bush Jeweller Raid Leaves One in Custody

Police are asking for CCTV and dashcam footage to help identify suspects following the overnight raid.

Overview

  • Officers were called at 3:31am on 29 January to Sultan Jewellers on Uxbridge Road, where several men tried to force entry using tools including a sledgehammer.
  • Police arrived within about three minutes and arrested a 33-year-old man as he attempted to flee on a moped; he remains in custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
  • Multiple suspects escaped on mopeds with what police believe was high-value jewellery, and officers were threatened with a hammer but were not injured.
  • Detectives are appealing for information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, quoting reference 732/29JAN26; tips can be provided via 101, online, or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
  • A police cordon and debris were visible hours after the break-in, and local reports note similarities to a 2019 raid on the same shop, a connection not formally confirmed by police.
