Manchester Airport Redirects Ryanair Departures Via Terminal 1 From Oct. 21

The reroute forms part of a long‑running Terminal 3 upgrade that will ultimately use the former Terminal 1 entrance.

Overview

  • From Oct. 21, Ryanair customers will check in at Terminal 1 Departures A, pass through new security lanes, then follow signed routes into Terminal 3’s departure lounge.
  • Ryanair arrivals remain at Terminal 3, and all shops and food outlets in the departure lounge will continue operating.
  • The temporary setup will stay in place until Terminal 1 closes, when the entrance will be renamed as the permanent access point to Terminal 3.
  • Clear signage and staff support will guide passengers, with existing drop‑off and pick‑up options, parking, FastTrack, TimeSlot and assisted‑travel services available.
  • Separately, British Airways relocates to Terminal 2 on Oct. 7 as the airport’s £1.3bn transformation progresses.
