Manav Shah Is First IGPL Player to Qualify for the U.S. Open

His 36-hole performance at Dallas Athletic Club secured a maiden major berth, highlighting the IGPL’s emergence as a pathway to top events.

Manav Shah earned a U.S. Open spot by shooting rounds of 66 and 71 in the 36-hole final qualifier at Dallas Athletic Club to finish five-under and fourth.
The qualification will be Shah’s first appearance in a major and follows a strong IGPL season in which he posted three top-seven finishes and a tied-11 in four starts.
Shah grew up in Bakersfield, played collegiate golf at UCLA, and has eight professional wins worldwide, including the 2022 Quito Open on PGA Tour Latinoamérica.
The Dallas sectional also advanced Peter Uihlein, Tom Kim, Cooper Dossey and Graeme McDowell while notable names such as Sergio Garcia failed to qualify.
Shah’s result is the first major berth for an AM Green IGPL player and may raise the profile of new international and developmental tour pathways for players outside PGA Tour exemptions.
