- Nottinghamshire Police said emergency services were called to Balderton Lake, off Heron Way in New Balderton, at 2.35pm on Thursday after reports a man had entered the water.
- Police, fire crews, East Midlands Ambulance Service and an air ambulance attended and established a safety cordon while crews worked at the scene.
- Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed one man was rescued and taken to hospital and a second man got out of the water without assistance.
- Balderton Lake remains closed and Balderton Parish Council and police have asked the public to stay away while authorities continue their work.
