Man Kills Wife and Himself in Joliet Garage, Police Say

Overview

• A family member found two unresponsive people in an attached garage at a home on the 1100 block of Loren Drive and officers discovered a 50-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman with apparent stab wounds.
• The Will County Coroner's Office pronounced both dead at the scene after detectives said the man stabbed the woman multiple times before turning the knife on himself and investigators recovered the weapon.
• The couple's two adult children and one juvenile child were at the home when officers arrived and police say there is no indication any other people were involved or that the public is at risk.
