Overview
- The killing occurred around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at a Sunoco on Joy Road near Greenfield on Detroit’s west side.
- Police say the victim parked his Jeep Compass and went into the store before returning to find a suspect inside the vehicle.
- According to police, the suspect assaulted the man, then reentered the Jeep and ran over him multiple times, and the victim died at the scene.
- The suspect fled in the Jeep and was arrested after a short pursuit involving Michigan State Police and Dearborn officers about a mile from the gas station.
