Man in His 90s Seriously Injured After Land Rover Collision in Oxton

Police say the man in his 90s is in a stable condition.

Overview

  • Police say a grey Land Rover struck a pedestrian on Rose Mount in Oxton on Wednesday, leaving the man seriously hurt.
  • A large response followed with police, ambulances and fire crews at the scene, and a helicopter hovered overhead as the road was partly closed.
  • Firefighters were alerted at 12.47pm and reached the scene by 12.52pm, then used lifting airbags to free the pedestrian from under the vehicle.
  • Paramedics took the man to hospital with serious injuries, and officers now report he is stable.
