Overview
- The attack happened on Parslickstown Drive in Mulhuddart in the early hours of Friday, 3 July, and the injured man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
- The adult male victim, aged in his 40s, later died in hospital and his death is being treated as the result of a fatal assault.
- Gardaí have set up an incident room at Blanchardstown Garda Station and placed a Senior Investigating Officer in charge of inquiries.
- The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
- Investigators have appointed a Family Liaison Officer and are asking anyone in the Parslickstown/Mulhuddart area between about 3:00am and 4:30am who saw anything or has dash-cam or other video to contact Gardaí.
