Man Charged With First‑Degree Murder in Surrey Businessman's Killing

IHIT says the shooting was a targeted attack and investigators are probing possible gang links while court secrecy limits public details.

June 2, 2026, B.C.: Brian Kiraly-Miller, 32, is facing a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of Surrey businessman Baljinder (Binder) Singh Garcha. Garcha was shot to death on Jan. 13 in the 3500-block 175 Street. Kiraly-Miller was arrested in Kamloops on May 28. He was the subject of a Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers wanted poster in January 2025.
