Man Charged in Nuneaton Railway Station Rape

He was remanded in custody pending a hearing at Warwick Crown Court on July 13.

  • British Transport Police investigated the case and located 36-year-old Billy Ormiston in Plymouth city centre on Friday, June 5 before arresting him.
  • Officers executed warrants at two Plymouth addresses on the night of June 5, and a woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was later released on bail.
  • Ormiston was charged with two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault and appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Monday, June 8 where he was remanded in custody.
  • Specially trained BTP officers are supporting the victim as enquiries continue and the case now moves toward a preliminary hearing at Warwick Crown Court on July 13.
