Overview
- The assault took place on June 20, 2026, at about 11pm when an adult man chased a youth who had allegedly taken his hat and was then attacked in an alley off Stokesley High Street.
- The incident began inside Pizza Village before the man was punched to the ground and kicked in the head and face by a group of youths.
- North Yorkshire Police describe the suspects as white male youths aged about 15 to 18 wearing sports clothing and say a female youth is believed to have taken the hat.
- The victim was taken to hospital with head and facial injuries and has since been discharged from care.
