Man Arrested at Ludlow River Walk After Alleged Nude Attack on Dog Walker

Police say the suspect faces charges for lewd conduct, animal cruelty, assault as authorities continue an active investigation

  • Ludlow police say officers responded to a report of a nude man threatening a dog walker and found 34-year-old Alexander Marano at the River Walk, taking him into custody without force.

  • Marano was evaluated by paramedics, refused treatment, and was booked at the Hampden County Correctional Center on counts that include disorderly conduct, indecent exposure, open and gross lewdness, cruelty to animals, assault and a threat to use a deadly weapon.
  • Police and the Ludlow police chief said no one involved suffered serious injuries and the investigation and prosecution are ongoing with further courts steps yet to be reported.
