Overview
- Police were called to Bolton Road in Chorley after 9:16am on Sunday when a man climbed onto the roof of a residential property and refused to come down.
- Lancashire Police say the man threw objects from the roof and set small fires during the stand-off, prompting fire crews and paramedics to attend the scene.

- After roughly six hours on the roof the 42-year-old man from Adlington was arrested at about 4pm on suspicion of assault, assault on an emergency worker, arson with intent to endanger life, and criminal damage.
- Police say one person suffered an arm injury from falling debris and several vehicles and homes were damaged, and investigators remain at the scene to assess damage and confirm next steps.
