Overview
- The brothers, both German nationals aged 32 and 27, began arguing shortly after midnight on Monday, 29 June 2026, outside a hospitality venue on the Seefelder Plateau and the dispute turned physical.
- The 32-year-old then got into a car and drove at his younger brother, striking him and throwing him against the windshield, after which the injured 27-year-old was taken to an Innsbruck clinic and later released.
- The older brother fled but officers from Polizeiinspektion Telfs stopped and arrested him at the scene and lodged him in the Justizanstalt Innsbruck.
- Police say the suspect had no driver's licence and an alcohol test at the scene was positive, facts that have helped prompt an investigation by the Landeskriminalamt Tirol on suspicion of attempted murder.
- The case remains under inquiry with charges not yet final, investigators will determine intent and prosecutors may involve German consular authorities because both men are German nationals.
