The scale of the damage has raised alarm about street vandalism across the neighbourhood.

  • West Midlands Police attended the scene, recovered a crowbar and arrested a 28-year-old on suspicion of causing criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
  • News footage and multiple social media clips showed a man striking parked cars while alarms sounded, and eyewitnesses estimated the number of damaged vehicles at more than 40.
  • Police have not identified a motive and are asking anyone who saw the attack to contact them via Live Chat or by calling 101, quoting log 1253 of 12 June.
