Overview
- West Yorkshire Police said a 42-year-old man remains in custody on suspicion of murder as part of the active investigation.
- Three other men were arrested earlier in the probe, with two aged 27 and 30 on police bail on suspicion of murder and a 33-year-old on bail on suspicion of assisting an offender.
- Police believe Mr Choudry was chased and attacked by a group armed with bats and sticks near East Avenue in what they describe as a targeted assault.
- The 35-year-old was found with serious head injuries on Flasby Street at about 3:14 a.m. on Sunday, February 8, and died in hospital on Wednesday, February 11.
- Detectives are appealing for CCTV, phone, dashcam or doorbell footage via the Major Incident Public Portal or Crimestoppers, as Mr Choudry’s pregnant wife, Zara, pays tribute and urges people to come forward.
