- Mayor Zohran Mamdani unveiled the Renew Crew Monday at Dry Harbor Playground in Glendale, Queens, where crews began repairing basketball courts, playground flooring and plantings around a 9/11 memorial.
- The in-house team of 24 painters, electricians, plumbers and other specialists is backed by a reported $2.3 million investment and the city says it aims to complete up to 30 projects a year with each job done in three weeks or less.
