- The city announced Wednesday that it will begin construction this fall on the long-delayed Tremont Avenue busway in the Bronx to serve about 39,000 daily Bx36 riders.
- Tremont’s design includes an eastbound busway from Third Avenue to Southern Boulevard, a westbound busway from Southern Boulevard to Belmont Avenue, intersection safety upgrades and a shared offset bus‑and‑bike lane on part of the corridor.
