- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a high-level Government Process Re‑engineering review on Monday and directed all departments to finish simplification work by August 14 so Aaple Sarkar 2.0 can be rolled out on August 15, 2026.
- The state has reviewed 1,222 services so far and has redesigned 723 services that officials say are directly useful to citizens.
- Officials said the next phase focuses on full digital integration of reworked service modules, consolidation of duplicate workflows, and a uniform digital framework for municipal and local bodies.
- The Revenue Department is leading implementation because of its heavy public contact, and outside partners including the Gates Foundation, Samagra and Public App attended the review to advise on execution.
