Magic Kingdom to Close Early May 13 for Private Conference Buyout
The buyout eliminates public access to nighttime shows, prompting itinerary changes.
Overview
- Magic Kingdom, which will close at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, has been rented by the SAP Sapphire & ASUG Conference for a private event featuring the Dave Matthews Band.
- Guests without conference badges must exit by 5:30 p.m., including those with standard single-park admission.
- Happily Ever After fireworks and the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade will not be available to the public that evening.
- Daytime waits at Magic Kingdom may run lighter, and Park Hopper holders are advised to ride early then move to EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
- Crowds are expected to shift to Tuesday, May 12, and Thursday, May 14, especially during evening entertainment.
