Overview
- Mafalda Inmersiva was announced Monday and is scheduled to open in October 2026 at Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires.
- The show will occupy about 1,300 square meters and guide visitors through a roughly one-hour route across 15 themed rooms.
- Producers say the experience will combine high-resolution video mapping, 360° projections with spatialized sound, interactive touchscreens, life-size character sculptures and multiuser VR.
- The production holds an exclusive license from Quino’s heirs and was developed by a multidisciplinary team from Argentina, Spain and England under director-producer Damián Kirzner.
- Organizers emphasize fidelity to Quino’s original drawings and texts, include dedicated children’s areas, and say the project — which received the Orillas Nuevas distinction from the Institut Français d'Argentine and the French Embassy — will begin an international tour after its Buenos Aires season.
