Overview
- The Contraloría audit found Diresa Madre de Dios needs S/500,540 to carry out the national Plan de Acción for the measles emergency, with S/74,250 for contracted services and S/426,290 for staff, supplies, transport, publicity and logistics.
- Peruvian authorities declared a sanitary emergency for Puno on May 16 and the first confirmed case in Madre de Dios was reported on May 29 as an infection imported from Juliaca, Puno.
