Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta Traps Snare Four Officials in Same-Day Bribery Stings

Overview

• In Narsinghpur, cooperative inspector Sanjay Dubey was caught accepting Rs 3,000 allegedly sought to release October–November salaries, following a Jabalpur Lokayukta trap.
• In Balaghat’s Birsa tehsil, Assistant Grade 3 reader Rajkumar Ramteke was arrested while taking Rs 3,000 allegedly requested to hasten closure of a BNSS case.
• In Shivpuri, additional collector’s steno Monu Sharma was detained when the final Rs 5,000 of an alleged Rs 20,000 demand for land record corrections was handed over.
• In Vidisha district’s Lateri, sub‑engineer Ram Gopal Yadav was trapped while taking Rs 30,000 as the first installment of an alleged Rs 40,000 demand for a valuation report and has been suspended.
• Lokayukta DG Yogesh Deshmukh and SPE officials detailed the operations, naming trap officers including Inspectors Rahul Gajbhiye and Shashikala Maskule, with legal proceedings and further investigation underway.
