Overview
- The state campaign, which ended on Tuesday, completed an official tally of nearly 3.63 lakh works valued at about Rs 10,000 crore focused on Amrit Sarovars, farm ponds, well recharge and watershed projects.
- At the June 30 valedictory in Rajgarh, CM Mohan Yadav led prayers, planted a sapling, handed tricycles to people with disabilities and gave 11 electric vehicles to women’s Lakhpati Didi groups to support livelihoods.
- Khargone district was ranked sixth in the campaign after reporting 8,352 conservation works that the district says created capacity to store or recharge roughly 61 crore litres of rainwater.
- Following the campaign’s close, the state ordered ongoing measures including a two‑year push to restore ponds and wells, a target to rejuvenate at least 100 water structures per development block and repairs to piped supply before Rabi.
- Officials stressed practical steps for farmers such as promoting early‑maturing, low‑water crops and boosting moisture‑conservation and short‑duration seed varieties to reduce the impact of likely scanty monsoon rains.
