The Home Department, which issued the transfer list late Saturday, reassigned 62 IPS officers across headquarters, ranges and 19 district superintendent posts.
Senior moves include Ravi Kumar Gupta to Special DGP Training and Police Academy chief in Bhopal and Rajababu Singh to ADGP Rail in Bhopal, with multiple new DIG postings at police headquarters.
Named district changes place Suraj Kumar Verma as SP Bhind, Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia as SP Shivpuri, Gurukaran Singh as SP Rewa and Aman Singh Rathore as DCP Indore.
Two removals follow recent cases in the field as Singrauli SP Manish Khatri was shifted after a bank heist and Seoni SP Sunil Mehta moved to DCP Indore during a hawala probe involving police officers.
Several officers serving as SP after promotion to DIG were reassigned to DIG roles, a common Indian administrative tool that refreshes leadership and can reset priorities in training, rail policing, narcotics and community outreach.
