Macron’s Davos Sunglasses Send iVision Tech Shares Up 32% as Henry Jullien Moves to Boost Output

The president bought the pair himself, insisting on a French-made model from a brand now owned by Italy’s iVision Tech.

Overview

  • Following Macron’s appearance in Davos wearing the Pacific S 01, iVision Tech shares rose about 32 percent in one trading day.
  • CEO Stefano Fulchir said Maison Henry Jullien’s website crashed under demand and a temporary sales page was created to keep orders flowing.
  • Fulchir said annual production of the Pacific model, typically around 100 units, could reach about 1,000 this year.
  • The sunglasses retail for €659, and Macron declined a free pair and requested confirmation the model was made in France, which it is in Lons-le-Saunier.
  • Macron’s staff attributed the sunglasses to a minor eye issue, and the Henry Jullien label has been part of Milan-listed iVision Tech since 2023.
