Overview
- The Mac Miller Estate shared “Butterflies,” the first of three previously unreleased songs that will be added to The Divine Feminine (10th Anniversary).
- “Butterflies” was produced by Taylor Graves and features bass by Thundercat and trumpet by Daniel Hardaway.
- The estate said the reissue is set for release on Oct. 2 and is available for pre-order in digital formats and as a 3LP vinyl edition.
- Alongside the single, the estate launched an interactive archival website developed with James Musgrave and Kate Doyle for XXIX that includes archival media from friends and collaborators.
- The Divine Feminine originally arrived in 2016 with high-profile guests such as Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak and Ariana Grande, and the estate’s release follows earlier authorized archival drops, signaling continued, curated posthumous releases and close collaborator involvement; the titles of the two remaining new tracks have not been announced.
