Overview
- The collision occurred shortly before 1pm on the westbound carriageway between Junction 26 (Chain Bar) and Junction 25 (Brighouse).
- National Highways reported lanes 2, 3 and 4 were closed with around three miles of congestion and emergency services on scene.
- Local traffic reports described an overturned car and queues extending toward Junction 27 near Gildersome.
- All lanes reopened at 1:41pm, with officials advising motorists to allow extra travel time due to residual delays.
- Yorkshire Ambulance Service said one patient was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, and West Yorkshire Police have been asked for comment.
