Overview
- Lancashire Police stopped a grey BMW M3 on August 20, 2025, after it was clocked at over 100mph on the northbound M6 and brought it to a halt on Stubbins Lane near Garstang.
- Officers found approximately 25kg of cocaine concealed in a box in the boot, with an estimated value of about £2.5 million.
- The driver, Stuart Wilson, 33, of Motherwell, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply and was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on February 5 to five years in prison.
- Police said Wilson appeared very nervous during the stop, asked if he was going to jail, and told officers there was something in the boot while claiming he did not know what it was.
- The force released video of the stop on social media and framed the case as part of Operation Warrior, which targets serious and organised crime and related community harms.
