- The LVMH Prize, which named its nine finalists Friday, confirmed the shortlist spans the United States, Europe, China and, for the first time, Kenya.
- The finalists are Colleen Allen (United States), De Pino by Gabriel Figueiredo (France), Institution by Galib Gassanoff (Georgia), Julie Kegels (Belgium), Lii by Zane Li (China), Petra Fagerström (Sweden), Ponte by Harry Pontefract (United Kingdom), THEVXLLEY by Daniel del Valle Fernandez (Spain) and Yoshita 1967 by Anil Padia (Kenya).
- LVMH added new jurors this year, including Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Camille Miceli, Michael Rider and Pietro Beccari, joining returning figures such as Jonathan Anderson, Sarah Burton, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Nigo, Phoebe Philo, Pharrell Williams, Jean‑Paul Claverie, Sidney Toledano and Delphine Arnault.
- The finalists present at the Fondation Louis Vuitton on September 4, when the jury will choose winners of the €400,000 LVMH Prize and the €200,000 Karl Lagerfeld and Savoir‑Faire prizes, each with a year of LVMH mentorship.
- The nine were selected after 20 designers showed in Paris in March to the Prize’s Committee of Experts and more than 80 industry veterans, continuing a program that has launched names like Marine Serre, Jacquemus, Grace Wales Bonner and last year’s winner, Soshiotsuki.
