Overview
- The third edition runs March 12–14 with 15 works in 12 locations, largely focused in Arganzuela around Matadero Madrid and the El Águila complex.
- Frontón Beti Jai, freshly honored with Spain’s 2025 National Restoration Prize, hosts Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s Deriva Térmica, an 800 m² thermographic, participatory projection.
- Other featured pieces include Blueprint on El Águila’s façade, Flux in Plaza de la Villa, Firmamento in the Palacio de Cibeles Glass Gallery, and Nadar la noche at Manzanares’ Presa nº 8.
- All installations are free to visit; indoor venues open from 17:00 and outdoor and façade works switch on from 19:30, with organizers urging public transport and walking to reduce impact.
- Neighborhood and environmental groups oppose the Presa nº 8 work on environmental and legal grounds citing the 2025 River Manzanares rights declaration, as a March 14 “Encuentro de Luz” convenes to examine light art, heritage and urban perception.
