- President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed a provisional measure on Tuesday that opens an extraordinary credit of R$ 547 million to fund reimbursements to INSS beneficiaries for improper deductions.
- The measure takes effect on publication, allowing the Treasury to pay beneficiaries at once while the Chamber and Senate consider the MP within the constitutional 120-day window.
- Since the launch of Operation Sem Desconto in April 2025, the government says it has returned more than R$ 3.2 billion to about 4.7 million retirees and pensioners through reimbursement agreements.
