- Multiple outlets reported Tuesday that Netflix has chosen Hall of Famer Luke Kuechly as its No. 1 game analyst for the 2026 NFL slate.
- Kuechly is expected to make his Netflix debut on Sept. 10 for the Rams-49ers game in Melbourne and will work four of Netflix’s five 2026 broadcasts because the Christmas doubleheader requires a second team.
- The hiring followed a July tryout at NBC Sports’ Stamford studios where Kuechly and Noah Eagle reportedly showed “immediate chemistry,” which sources say helped secure the role.
- Kuechly brings limited national TV experience but has called Panthers radio games, done alternate broadcasts and co-hosts a podcast, and he will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 8.
- The assignment gives Netflix a named lead voice while its NFL rights run through 2029 and could position Kuechly for a larger role if the streamer seeks more rights after that contract ends.
