Lufthansa Technik Middle East Opens Parts Coating and Curing Facility at Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub

The move strengthens Dubai’s maintenance ecosystem by bringing advanced composite repair closer to regional airlines.

Overview

  • Lufthansa Technik Middle East and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub inaugurated a specialized site in Dubai South to paint and treat aircraft parts used in maintenance and repair work.
  • The facility is built to handle carbon‑fiber and other composite components, speeding curing and drying to improve repair quality and cut turnaround times for customers in the region and beyond.
  • The ribbon-cutting was attended by Tahnoon Saif, chief executive of the Aerospace Hub, and Ziad Al Hazmi, chief executive of Lufthansa Technik Middle East.
  • By adding local capacity for coating and curing, airlines can keep more work in Dubai, reduce shipping and delays, and tap Lufthansa Technik’s global network for spares and logistics support across Airbus and Boeing fleets.
  • The Aerospace Hub operates as a free zone focused on MRO, training, and business aviation, aligning with Dubai’s push to be a leading aviation center as newer, composite‑heavy aircraft drive rising demand for specialized repairs.
