Lufthansa Rolls Out 'FOX' Premium Service Across All Long-Haul Cabins

The €70 million program seeks to lift the airline's premium standing in Europe.

Overview

  • Lufthansa's overhaul, which went live Wednesday across Business, Premium Economy and Economy, follows a First Class refresh introduced at the end of March.
  • The systemwide service applies on all aircraft and routes with or without the Allegris seats to create more consistent choices and timing.
  • Business Class adds chef Johann Lafer menus, a night-before breakfast preselect, on-demand Sky Selection second meals, and a midflight coffee-and-cake service.
  • Premium Economy gains a Business Class–style appetizer, three hot mains, warm bread, more drinks, and slippers, while Economy gets its first long-haul amenity kit, three mains on flights over ten hours, new tableware, and printed menus.
  • Lufthansa says the two-year project incorporated feedback from over 9,000 passengers and 500 crew and requires swapping 187 million service items, with success now tied to consistent delivery across crews and aircraft.
