UPMRC says the National Common Mobility Card will follow next.

Overview

  • The system went live on February 16 with an inauguration at Hazratganj station led by managing director Sushil Kumar.
  • Riders can buy digital tickets in the official Lucknow Metro app or obtain paper QR slips from QR-enabled vending machines and station counters.
  • Entry and exit now require scanning the QR at Automatic Fare Collection gates marked with yellow stickers.
  • Each station has at least one QR-capable vending machine and one QR-ready counter, with UPI payments and prominent “QR Support” labels.
  • Legacy token-based ticketing remains available on existing machines.
