- The first full trailer and key art debuted at Anime Expo 2026 during a Lucasfilm panel that featured supervising director Kenji Kamiyama, lead director Shunsuke Tada, and producer Hitoshi Ito.
- Production I.G. is leading animation with Shunsuke Tada as director, Mitsuyasu Sakai as writer, Kenji Kamiyama as supervising director, and a team of executive producers including James Waugh and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa.
- The series brings back original and English-dub voice talent such as Kimiko Glenn as Lah Kara and Simu Liu as Lah Zhima while adding new cast members including Young Mazino and Chase Sui Wonders.
- The Ninth Jedi continues Lah Kara’s story in a far-future corner of Star Wars where Jedi are rare and lightsabers are legendary, and Lucasfilm is using the series as a proof of concept for expanding other Visions entries into longer narratives.
