Overview
- The Lucas Museum in Los Angeles detailed the plan Monday on Star Wars Day and named the inaugural Cinema show “Star Wars in Motion.”
- The exhibit will feature vehicle designs, props, costumes, and illustrations from Episodes I–VI, including Luke’s Landspeeder and the first build of General Grievous’s Wheel Bike.
- The focus stays on Lucas-era films, so items from the later Disney-produced entries are not expected in this opening show.
- The Cinema show is one of more than 30 installations set for the Sept. 22, 2026 opening, with over 1,200 objects across more than 30 galleries in about 100,000 square feet.
- Museum memberships are available now ahead of the fall launch.
