Lucas Museum Previews Interiors and Confirms Sept. 22 Public Opening

The privately funded Los Angeles museum seeks to reframe visual storytelling from illustration to cinematic design as museum-grade art.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles will hold its grand opening on Sept. 22, 2026. The museum, which invited the media to tour the space on Sept. 2, includes a "Star Wars" exhibit, work by street artist Banksy and more.

  • The museum, which held press previews Wednesday, confirmed it will open to the public on Sept. 22, 2026 and has put tickets on sale with adult admission at $25.
