- Locarno has unveiled its 79th festival program, announcing a full slate of Piazza Grande screenings, an International Competition and several world premieres for the early-August edition in Locarno, Switzerland.
- Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh’s The Green Eyes will open the Piazza Grande with a world premiere, marking the festival’s public launch event.
- The International Competition includes new films by established auteurs such as Hong Sang-soo and Denis Côté plus entries from Basil Da Cunh and Gurvinder Singh, and it features world premieres including Donkey Princess.
