Llum BCN 2026 Lights Up Barcelona as Three-Night Festival Expands Citywide

The three-night program highlights Barcelona's Architecture Capital year through headline works plus district commissions.

Overview

  • Installations are open free of charge from February 6–8, with visiting hours set for 19:00–00:00 on Friday and Saturday and 19:00–23:00 on Sunday in the festival’s 15th edition.
  • The program features 12 professional commissions alongside 18 university projects concentrated in the Sant Martí/Poblenou core.
  • Signature pieces include Albert Serra’s ‘Aquesta nit’ on the Disseny Hub façade and Antoni Arola’s ‘Laser Faces’ on Torre Glòries, which offers 50% entry and extended night hours during the event.
  • New this year, ten light‑and‑dance commissions activate emblematic sites across all city districts in connection with Barcelona’s World Capital of Architecture 2026, including the Born CCM and Fort Pienc.
  • Park Güell and other UNESCO World Heritage sites in the city are illuminated in blue from 18:00 to 22:00 as a symbolic welcome, and visitors are urged to use the official app, mapped itineraries and public transport.
